Crispy Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken with Avocado Lime Dip

 

Protein lovers flock to this party app! Perfectly tasty at room temperature, it goes quickly so make a lot! A simple do-ahead and substantial addition to your party, I highly recommend this one, enjoy!!

(Makes about 20 pieces)

For the chicken:

Marinate 1 lb chicken tenders in:

½ cup olive oil, ½ cup fresh lemon juice, 2 tsp worchestire sauce, ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper. Combine ingredients and add the chicken for 1-2 hours.

Set out:

20 fresh basil leaves

10 slices of prosciutto

Drain the marinade from the chicken. Place each chicken tender on a thin slice of prosciutto and place a fresh piece of basil on the chicken also. Tightly roll and wrap each chicken tender and basil in the slice of prosciutto. 

Place on a baking tray and place under a hot broiler for 7-9 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the prosciutto is crispy. Slice each in half for an easier pick up party size.

Avocado- lime dip:

2 large avocados

Zest and juice of 1 lime

1 tsp. grated horseradish 

1/2 tsp garlic salt

½ tsp ground pepper

Combine all ingredients, mash with the back of a fork and serve with the chicken.
