Hi There! I’m Kristin. Welcome to Wildflowers and Fresh Food where you’ll find a simple and colorful approach to cooking (and life!). This is a place for creative expression in the kitchen and everyone is encouraged to join in!

I’m a nurse by education and friends kept asking me to show them how to cook in the evenings and weekends or help them with a party. One group would tell another and before I knew it I was running a business! What makes my classes a little different than traditional cooking classes is that we basically throw a little dinner party. We will cook together in a nurturing and supported way then I’ll send you off to the table to enjoy everything you’ve made with your class participants. During class, I love to talk about where I got the local produce, the healing properties of the beautiful foods we use and the life enhancing results of sharing food with one another or simply taking care of ourselves by cooking for one.The simple act of muddling herbs or zesting citrus literally lowers our parasympathetic nervous system so we can rest and digest as our bodies were designed to!

Wildflowers and fresh food, has evolved and I now offer cooking classes, cooking parties, private cheffing (interaction encouraged!) and Team Building/Retreats in the Nashville TN area and Fairhope Alabama - and anywhere/everywhere in between!

I love to see people succeed, so come along with me, everyone is welcome, whether you are an experienced cook or brand new to the kitchen!

About the name:

Wildflowers is borrowed from the Tom Petty song that encourages us to go out into the world…be free and return home to a place free of trouble and worry. I hope my home feels like this to all who come through! And fresh food is, of course, the high vibe focus of our meals, the nourishment to our hearts and souls.

You belong among the wildflowers

You belong somewhere close to me

Far away from your troubles and worry

You belong somewhere you feel free
