About
At Wildflowers & Fresh Food, our goal is for people to feel taken care of.
Wherever we set a table, we want the host to feel at ease and the guests to sense that something special has happened. For us, nourishment is just as much about feeling cared for as it is about eating delicious farm-to-table food!
Meet Kristin! Wildflowers & Fresh Food Founder:
Chef, Nurse, and Mom to 3 kids (who are all great cooks and eat their vegetables)

It all started in Fairhope, Alabama. I was leading cooking classes and private chef events, and I quickly realized my passion extended beyond the food itself. What draws me in is the way food brings people together and creates a sense of care and belonging. Cooking is my way of creating beauty, nurturing others, and encouraging my community to eat colorfully, support local growers, and slow down to enjoy what’s around them.
Now, I am expanding to Northern Alabama at Rolling Pastures Ranch near Mentone. Daily life at Rolling Pastures Ranch is an embodiment of my health ethos. Gathering eggs from the coop, holding newborn lambs, or feeding overripe pumpkins to our friendly Dexter cattle helps us feel connected to the land and the food grown here. We follow regenerative practices, nurturing the land that nourishes us in return.
Before I was a chef, I was a nurse, a Georgetown University graduate who has always believed that caring for people extends far beyond clinical settings. Now, I express my best nurse self yet: caring through community, fresh food, and a holistic understanding of health. The same compassion that guided me in medicine now guides me in the kitchen, and I love sharing my food practice with others, creating warm and beautiful spaces to bond and find presence.
Food is my way of reminding guests that they can find beauty and intention anywhere, and I truly love creating memorable, nourishing experiences for people and watching this ripple into their daily lives.
