Carne Asada

Ingredients:

1 bunch cilantro

⅓ c olive oil

¼ c soy sauce or coconut aminos

Zest and juice of 1 orange

Zest and juice of 1 lime

2 crushed garlic cloves

1 tsp ground cumin

Salt and pepper

1 ½ lb flank steak

Combine ingredients (except the steak) in a bowl. Divide mixture in half and put half of the marinade over the steak and reserve half in a bowl for later. 

Marinate the steak in the refrigerator overnight or at least 4 hours. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill over med-high heat 5 min per side. Allow to rest for 5 minutes then thinly slice. 

Arrange steak slices in a tortilla with remaining asada sauce, avocado and pickled lime onions. (See sunshine section for pickled red onion recipe)
